Amaco Potter's Choice Glaze – Textured Turquoise (16 oz)

A subtle turquoise gloss, green-beige where thin, but a beautiful aqua where thick. Great for textured ware and layering with other Potter's Choice glazes. It is a fluid glaze.

Due to the powdered nature of the materials involved with the dry-mix dipping buckets of this product, their respective health information and labels differ from the brushing glazes.

Note that all dry dipping glazes can be difficult to layer. Dipping glazes behave differently from brushing and they require thorough testing prior to layering full piece.

Food & Dinnerware Safe

ACMI CL Seal Logo

The CL (Cautionary Labeling) Seal is used on art materials that are certified by a toxicologist to carry potential health risks if not used properly. These products are safe for use when the directions and cautionary labeling are carefully followed but may contain substances that could be hazardous if misused. Materials with the CL Seal are not recommended for children in grade six or lower, or for use by individuals who cannot read and understand cautionary labeling, such as the physically or mentally handicapped. The CL Seal indicates that proper handling, supervision, and adherence to all safety instructions are essential when using these products.

Food Safe Logo

“Food Safe” is a regulation and is defined by the Compliance Policy Guide, which is maintained by the FDA and only applies to lead and cadmium release. For example, “Food Safe” may refer to a glaze in its final, fired state. If a product has a food safe designation, it has gone through testing and passed industry standards for food safety when used according manufacturer’s direction. Finishedware producers bear responsibility for food safe testing their ware being sold into commerce.

Dinnerware Logo

"Dinnerware safe" refers to tableware that is considered safe for use with food and drinks. This means that the material used to create the dinnerware has been tested and confirmed not to contain harmful levels of chemicals such as lead or cadmium, which can potentially leach and cause health problems. It also means that the surface of the dinnerware is non-porous and smooth, without any cracks, chips or other imperfections that could harbor bacteria and contaminate food or drinks.
