SIO-2® PRAF White Sculpture/Raku High Fire Ceramic Clay Body, 4 lb Sample
White sculpture/raku clay with 40% fine grog 0-0.5 mm (up to 35 Mesh). Formulated for artistic ceramics, it is ideal for sculpture, murals and Raku pieces. The high content of grog confers a beautiful textured surface and an excellent behaviour during drying and firing. Its particular ivory colour after firing is much appreciated and provides an excellent ware for glazes and colouring oxides, which develop bright and intense tones. It is also known as “Rafael” clay, and it is very popular because of its excellent behaviour for Raku. Available in a convenient 4 lb size for smaller projects, or to test and see if this clay is right for you.

It is recommended to test clay body prior to large scale use in order to verify suitability in both the ceramic process (shaping, drying, firing and decoration) and the final application that is expected to be obtained.
